First day of school is just around the corner, and its time to get organized by planning ahead of time.<\/p>\n
While most are concentrating on forthcoming school activities and clubs, there are also many students who have part-time jobs, are aiming for straight \u201cA\u201d grades, and are involved in community services and events.
\nStudents share with Youngstyle their plans for the incoming school year. <\/p>\n
[B]MICHELLE AVILA
\n18, 1st year at Northern Marianas
\nCollege, majoring in Education[\/B]<\/p>\n
\u201cI have many plans for this school year as I want to stay in NMC for only two years. During the summer I have applied for scholarships, and now the CNMI scholarship, SHEFA, and AmeriCorp have accepted me.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the time being, I hope to get approval from other scholarships, which is Pell, and the Businesswoman of the Year scholarship.<\/p>\n
\u201cI also applied for the work-study program offered by the college, and am planning to continue working at National Office Supply and remain a full-time student.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter this semester, I will get myself a brand new laptop from the savings I have made from school and working.\u201d

\n17, 12th grade, Kagman High School[\/B]<\/p>\n
\u201cI want have good grades and keep maintaining them. I aim to be involved with more clubs and activities. <\/p>\n
\u201cI have already been involved with Mock Trial, National Honor Society, Prom Committee, and Teen Talk. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis year, I want to take part in all school pep rallies. Last school year, I was the class secretary and I am planning to run again for the same position. <\/p>\n
\u201cI plan to apply ahead of time for college and scholarships. Also, I want to learn how to drive before the school year ends.<\/p>\n
