University of Loyola has kicked off its series of orientations for Fall 2008.<\/p>\n
According to the newly established institution, approximately 60 residents attended the first orientation held July 23 at the fourth floor of the Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe.<\/p>\n
University president Dr. Johnny Fong led the orientations and answered all questions, together with school officials Rick Brien and Haidee Eugenio.<\/p>\n
\u201cMost of the people that came to the first orientation were from the community, and most were contract workers or foreign workers,\u201d said Brien.<\/p>\n
The fledgling university offers the following majors: Business administration, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing. It also offer a \u201cstudy now, pay later\u201d program for local and foreign workers.<\/p>\n
The start of classes is on Sept. 8, 2008. <\/p>\n
Orientations will be every Mondays, Wednesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 10am until the school opens. <\/p>\n
Currently, the school does not accept scholarships such as the Pell, SHEFA, and CNMI Scholarships.<\/p>\n
