{"id":125167,"date":"2008-08-10T21:56:00","date_gmt":"2008-08-10T21:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b106ace4-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-08-10T21:56:00","modified_gmt":"2008-08-10T21:56:00","slug":"b106acfa-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/b106acfa-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Catlett quits as House legal counsel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The House of Representatives is looking for a lawyer to fill up the position that will be vacated by attorney Ian Catlett this month.<\/p>\n<p>At present, the House has three lawyers\u2014Catlett, Joe Bermudes, and Antonette Villagomez.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe position that Mr. Ian Catlett is occupying at the moment will be the one that will be vacant,\u201d according to Floor Leader Joseph James N. Camacho on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Interested lawyers have until Aug. 15 to submit their applications to the Legislative Bureau.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know how many people already submitted for the position,\u201d Camacho said.<\/p>\n<p>He said Catlett did not specify the reason why he is quitting.<\/p>\n<p>Catlett used to work as a prosecutor at the Attorney General\u2019s Office handling immigration matters.
