{"id":125584,"date":"2008-08-25T20:08:00","date_gmt":"2008-08-25T20:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b12ad6f1-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-08-25T20:08:00","modified_gmt":"2008-08-25T20:08:00","slug":"b12ad702-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/b12ad702-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Mass to kick off Substance Abuse Prevention Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Mass this Sunday Aug. 31, at the San Jose Church on Saipan will kick off the Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment\/Recovery Month, or SAPTember.<\/p>\n<p>SAPTember committee chair Tony Benavente said monthlong activities will include community presentations on how to prevent and control substance abuse, especially among the youth in the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>Youth groups will gather at the Susupe Basketball Court on Sept. 6 for the Family Fun Day. The activity will start at 8am.<\/p>\n<p>This gathering will feature \u201cBig Daddy Trucks\u201d and \u201cSmall Mama Trucks\u201d where kids will compete using their remote controlled toys.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody is invited to this occasion,\u201d said Benaventel.<\/p>\n<p>Different government agencies will be involved as well as the private sector.  The Community Guidance Center will be the lead agency.<\/p>\n<p>Benavente said Saipan Mayor Juan B.
