{"id":125708,"date":"2008-08-28T21:51:00","date_gmt":"2008-08-28T21:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b13b9d00-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-08-28T21:51:00","modified_gmt":"2008-08-28T21:51:00","slug":"b13b9d14-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/b13b9d14-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Islanders keep lead in Budweiser Open 8-ball"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Islanders Rent a Car recorded another sweep to remain on top of the team standings in the Agingan Division of the 2008 Budweiser Open 8-ball League after Tuesday night\u2019s games.<\/p>\n<p>The Islanders, who blanked Coral Reef Shark Attack in their debut in the league last week, posted a similar 4-0 triumph over USSP Wat-Ever in Week 2 to keep their record clean at 8-0 in the Saipan Billiards Association-run league.<\/p>\n<p>Notching the wins for the Islanders were Ronnie Ringor, Don Antonio, Jomer Enriquez, and Eric Casip. <\/p>\n<p>The PTI Voyagers also nailed a 4-0 victory against Shark Attack in Week 2, to improve their slate to 7-1, and remain in second spot.<\/p>\n<p>The Voyagers, who are composed of Jojo Talibong, Amor Zapata, Luis Fajardo, Rolly Villanueva, and Ryann Odicta, won their first match this season, stunning perennial champion the SaipanCell Hustlers, 3-1.<\/p>\n<p>The Hustlers recovered from their Week 1 booboo when they defeated Godfather\u2019s Rock Steady, 3-1. The Hustlers now have a 4-4 record, moving up from fifth place to solo third. Helping bring back the Hustlers in the win column were Robert Sanciangco, Senen Pangilinan, Joey Lucido, Jerry Soriano, and Rowel Mariano.<\/p>\n<p>Rock Steady, which placed third after the opening of the competition, dropped to fourth with a 3-5 record.
