Islanders Rent a Car recorded another sweep to remain on top of the team standings in the Agingan Division of the 2008 Budweiser Open 8-ball League after Tuesday night\u2019s games.<\/p>\n
The Islanders, who blanked Coral Reef Shark Attack in their debut in the league last week, posted a similar 4-0 triumph over USSP Wat-Ever in Week 2 to keep their record clean at 8-0 in the Saipan Billiards Association-run league.<\/p>\n
Notching the wins for the Islanders were Ronnie Ringor, Don Antonio, Jomer Enriquez, and Eric Casip. <\/p>\n
The PTI Voyagers also nailed a 4-0 victory against Shark Attack in Week 2, to improve their slate to 7-1, and remain in second spot.<\/p>\n
The Voyagers, who are composed of Jojo Talibong, Amor Zapata, Luis Fajardo, Rolly Villanueva, and Ryann Odicta, won their first match this season, stunning perennial champion the SaipanCell Hustlers, 3-1.<\/p>\n
The Hustlers recovered from their Week 1 booboo when they defeated Godfather\u2019s Rock Steady, 3-1. The Hustlers now have a 4-4 record, moving up from fifth place to solo third. Helping bring back the Hustlers in the win column were Robert Sanciangco, Senen Pangilinan, Joey Lucido, Jerry Soriano, and Rowel Mariano.<\/p>\n
Rock Steady, which placed third after the opening of the competition, dropped to fourth with a 3-5 record. Rock Steady, which is composed of Pat Camacho, Bill Pangelinan, Keiji Tekeda, Gary Pangelinan, and Sam Babauta, split its games with USSP Wat-Ever.<\/p>\n
USSP Wat-Ever also plummeted in the team standings, as it is now ranked fifth among six teams with its 2-6 slate.<\/p>\n
Shark Attack is the lone team in the league which has yet to win a single game, holding a 0-8 record.<\/p>\n
In the Obyan Division, two teams are tied for the lead with Primo\u2019s Hoe Boys and D\u2019Pirates Huwa sporting identical 7-1 records after two weeks of competition.<\/p>\n
The Home Boys and Huwa swept Week 1, and won anew in Week 2, downing the Perfect Spotters and Coral Reef Barracuda in similar scores, 3-1.<\/p>\n
The VFW Warriors also cruised to a 3-1 victory in Week 2, beating USS Fotten Palau to move up from fourth to solo second place with their 5-3 mark.<\/p>\n
Coral Reef Barracuda is in fourth place with its 3-5 slate, while the Perfect Spotters and USSP Fotten Palau are at the bottom of the team standings with identical 1-7 records.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
