{"id":125755,"date":"2008-08-30T21:23:00","date_gmt":"2008-08-30T21:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b13beac4-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-08-30T21:23:00","modified_gmt":"2008-08-30T21:23:00","slug":"b13bead5-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/b13bead5-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Celes is new acting Secretary for DCCA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The executive director of the Council for Arts and Culture is now the new acting Secretary of the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Cecilia Taitano Celes, who had been the CAC executive director since 2006, was promoted by the Fitial administration on Thursday Aug. 28.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with Saipan Tribune, Celes said she is excited about her new job because \u201cI\u2019m confident with the elite team in the DCCA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey got me busy on my first two days and here on weekend I\u2019m still working but it\u2019s okay because we really have a lot of things that we need to do,\u201d said Celes at the opening day yesterday of the month-long Cultural Heritage and Arts Pacifica Exhibit.<\/p>\n<p>Organized annually by the CAC, this year\u2019s exhibit is being held at the Joeten Motors Co.\u2019s Nissan showroom along Beach Road in San Jose, Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>Celes replaced former DCCA Secretary Melvin O. Faisao.
