Ada Gymnasium.<\/p>\n<p>The G-Stars dropped their first two games, but got their act together in the next two games to continue their climb in the team standings. They are now tied with the Kontenders in fourth place.<\/p>\n<p>The Suns absorbed their third win as many games, as they were outshone by the G-Stars.<\/p>\n<p>Nate Mateo led the G-Stars\u2019 back-to-back win, drilling 20 points. He scored the G-Stars\u2019 first eight points to give his team early control of the game, 8-2.<\/p>\n<p>The G-Stars kept the driver\u2019s seat at halftime, 29-23, with Mateo adding six more points, and getting one field goal each from his four other teammates.<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy Brel made nine of the Suns\u2019 first 11 markers in the second half to foil the G-Stars\u2019 bid for a breakaway.<\/p>\n<p>The Suns hung in there until it cut the G-Stars\u2019 lead to four, 38-42, with less than three four minutes left in the match.<\/p>\n<p>But the G-Stars\u2019 had a 15-10 windup with Nate\u2019s twin brother, Dan, making six of them, to preserve the victory.<\/p>\n<p>Dan finished in double figures with 10 points. Sean Sablan also had 10 points, nailing six in the closing minutes of the game.<\/p>\n<p>Brel was the lone bight spot for the Suns\u2019 offensive game, hitting 14 markers. Juan Maratita and Ryan Lisua combined for 16 points.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, tonight\u2019s game will have a tail-meets-end tale, as the streaking Southern Sonics collide with the winless G-Rollers II.<\/p>\n<p>The Sonics are aiming for their fifth straight win, while the G-Rollers II are looking to end their four-game losing skid.<\/p>\n<p>Last night\u2019s match has the CNMI Junior Nationals meeting the Chalan Kanoa Saints, but results of the game were unavailable at press time.<\/p>\n<p>The Junior Nationals were gunning for their third win in a row after losing to the Sonics in the league\u2019s opening game, while the Saints were targeting their first win in three matches.<\/p>\n<p>G-Stars 57 \u2013 D.
