Next month, on Oct. 10, the CNMI Energy Office and the CNMI Organization for Conservation Outreach is urging all islanders on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota to once again, \u201cTake the Right Route.\u201d <\/p>\n
We can all do something right away. And if we all do, something will undoubtedly change. <\/p>\n
You can help to switch off global warming and start today\u2014by using clean energy and cutting down on wasted energy. <\/p>\n
Energy efficient lights use about one-quarter of the electricity to create the same light as a conventional light bulb.<\/p>\n
Everyone has a responsibility to the world we live in now and the world we will leave to future generations. Take a first step to reduce your carbon footprint and \u201cTake the Right Route\u201d Oct. 10 by walking, running, biking, or carpooling to work or school. You will save one pound of CO2 for every mile you don\u2019t drive, save money, and maybe even your waistline. <\/p>\n
Individuals, schools, and organizations that participate will receive a FREE pair of \u201cWalk it, Don\u2019t Drive it\u201d zories, reusable waterbottle, or lanyard. <\/p>\n
