{"id":126416,"date":"2008-09-20T19:43:00","date_gmt":"2008-09-20T19:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b160b01b-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-09-20T19:43:00","modified_gmt":"2008-09-20T19:43:00","slug":"b160b02b-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/b160b02b-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"11 teams join Miller Lite 4-person beach volleyball"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A total of 11 teams will be competing in the 2008 Miller Lite 4-person Beach Volleyball League, which will kick off on Sept. 23 at the Pacific Islands Club beach volleyball court.<\/p>\n<p>The list include Off Twice, Enyophace, MHS Peers, MHS Oakies, MHS Serves UP, and MHS 67 Doh-Fins. Five others have yet to decide the names for their teams, though they have already submitted their roster of players.<\/p>\n<p>Each team has eight players bringing the total of participants to 88.<\/p>\n<p>Four games will be played every Tuesday and Thursday with the opening to start at 5:30pm,<\/p>\n<p>The league will run until Nov. 6 with the playoffs to be held on Nov. 11 and Nov. 13. <\/p>\n<p>The top eight teams after the regular season will qualify for the playoffs which will have a single-elimination format.<\/p>\n<p>The No. 1 team will meet the No. 8 squad, No. 2 vs. No. 7, No. 3 vs. No. 6, and No. 4 vs. No. 5.<\/p>\n<p>Major sponsors for this year\u2019s tournament  are PIC, PTC, Miller Light, Propel, and Pepsi.<\/p>\n<p>The MHS Okies and Team No. 4 will kick off the hostilities in the 11-team tournament as they duel in the first game on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Other games on the opening day are Off Twice vs MHS Peers; Team No. 2 vs Team No.7; and Team No. 3 vs Enyophace.<\/p>\n<p>Last Thursday night organizers held a draft to determine the composition of each team.
