{"id":126572,"date":"2008-09-25T22:09:00","date_gmt":"2008-09-25T22:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b17cede9-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-09-25T22:09:00","modified_gmt":"2008-09-25T22:09:00","slug":"b17cedfc-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/b17cedfc-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Voyagers regain 8-ball lead via 4-0 win off Hustlers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The PTI Voyagers triumphed over the SaipanCell Hustlers, 4-0, in the battle of telecommunications company-sponsored teams last Tuesday night\u2019s in the 2008 Budweiser Open 8-Ball League.<\/p>\n<p>Voyagers pulled off scores of 46-39, 49-31, 43-34 for total of 135-104 to take back the lead behind the shot-making prowess of Luis Fajardo, Roman Rodriguez, Jean Cadag, Jojo Talibong, and Rolly Villanueva. <\/p>\n<p>The team now sports a league-leading 18-2 win-loss record in the Agingan Division of the competition organized by Saipan Billiards Association.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the Hustlers, composed of Senen Pangelinan, Robert Sanciangco, Joey Lucido, Rowel Mariano, and Jerry Soriano, was relegated to a tie at second and third places with a 16-8 slate with Islander Rent A Car.<\/p>\n<p>Islander\u2019s Don Antonio, Eric Caisip, Jomer Enriquez, Rey Pinangay, and Joey Cruz also fashioned out a 4-0 blanking off Coral Reef Shark Attack, which was brought further down in the team standings with a woeful 4-20 mark, good for dead last.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, there will be a rematch of the Sept. 16 encounter between the Voyagers and USSP Wat-Ever because the former illegally defaulted the aforementioned game. The Voyagers showed up with only three players in the five-player lineup tournament.<\/p>\n<p>On Sept. 23, Wat-Ever\u2019s Ace Elameto, Rick Elepante, Norman Tenorio, Ed Monundoc and Sam Kapileo vented their ire on Godfather\u2019s Rock Steady and posted a 4-0 victory at home and moved up to solo fourth place with 7-13 win-loss slate.<\/p>\n<p>Games in the Agingan Division next Tuesday, Sept. 30, will be Wat-Ever hosting Islander; PTI gong up against Coral Reef, and Rock Steady taking on SaipanCell.<\/p>\n<p>In the Obyan Division, the top two teams were beaten at home. D\u2019Pirates Huwa and Primos Home Boys lost to their respective rivals but remained on top with identical 15-9 win-loss records.<\/p>\n<p>Krystal Perfect Spotters shone on the road as they cleaned up D\u2019Pirates, 4-0, with scores of 46-39, 40-39, 47-36 and a total of 145-114, behind the spirited shot-making of Primo Ferrera, Serge Tibudan, Johnny dugos, Eric Piol, and Mario Jumalon. The Perfect Spotters are now in solo third with 14-10.<\/p>\n<p>USSP Fotten Palau, composed of Taylor Watanabe, Mei Rengiil, Ron Chisato, R.E.
