{"id":126717,"date":"2008-09-30T21:47:00","date_gmt":"2008-09-30T21:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b1967839-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-09-30T21:47:00","modified_gmt":"2008-09-30T21:47:00","slug":"b196784c-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/b196784c-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Commerce eyes revival of biz incubator program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Commerce is eyeing a plan to revive a program that once operated in the CNMI designed to fostering the growth of small local businesses. <\/p>\n<p>In an interview Tuesday, Commerce Secretary Michael Ada disclosed plans to work with the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Commonwealth Development Authority to revive the Small Business Development Center, a program that once operated out of the Northern Marianas College and is credited with helping several entrepreneurs get their businesses started. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is to help develop businesses so they can get on their own and then get out and get started,\u201d Ada said. <\/p>\n<p>The center would provide assistance to entrepreneurs such as access to fax and Internet services, temporary office and meeting space and other resources, Ada added.
