Meetings are held quarterly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe share about programs to be more knowledgeable. We review and see if there are areas we need to include,\u201d said Malua T. Peter, Family and Community Partnership coordinator. <\/p>\n<p>Representatives from Medicaid; the Mayor\u2019s Office; the Nutrition Assistance Program; The Women, Infants, and Children program; Karidat Social Services; and the Department of Public Health were among the attendees. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve been very supportive. We\u2019re committed to helping Headstart,\u201d Peter said. <\/p>\n<p>She said the representatives discussed the upcoming calendar of events, including the Week of the Young Child. It is usually held in April, but they are hoping to host it earlier this year, sometime before February, she said. <\/p>\n<p>Transportation for clients was also discussed at the meeting.
