{"id":128995,"date":"2008-12-18T21:25:00","date_gmt":"2008-12-18T21:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b2bd1dce-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-12-18T21:25:00","modified_gmt":"2008-12-18T21:25:00","slug":"b2bd1ddf-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/b2bd1ddf-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Kabiriel tops SSC Jingle Bell 5K Fun Run"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran runner Jack Kabiriel ruled the Saipan Swim Club 2008 Annual Jingle Bell 5K Run held last week outracing about 100 participants.<\/p>\n<p>Kabiriel finished the race from Garapan Fishing Base to Minatchom Atdao Pavilion across the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium in 17 minutes, 38 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Reaching the finish line by only seven seconds behind Kabiriel was another frequent fun run participant\u2014Matt Mancao, who timed in at 17:45. He was the first student finisher.<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s division, Nikki Gabaldon was ahead of the pack of adult participants, clocking in at 20:49, while All Schools cross country champion Gabrielle Race was the top finisher in the female students division timing in at 28:59.<\/p>\n<p>Last week\u2019s fun run was SSC\u2019s last event for the year and organizers were thankful it went ahead without a hitch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSSC is pleased that it did not rain during the race. The Jingle Bell run has become a holiday tradition for most of the Islanders.
