{"id":129067,"date":"2008-12-22T21:12:00","date_gmt":"2008-12-22T21:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/b2bd881b-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2008-12-22T21:12:00","modified_gmt":"2008-12-22T21:12:00","slug":"b2bd882c-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/b2bd882c-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"SSC tankers joining Guam meet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saipan Swim Club bets will close out the 2008 season with a stint in the Guam International Swim Meet at the Hagatna Swimming Pool this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>SSC coach Michael Blasberg said so far eight SSC swimmers have confirmed their participation in the Guam meet, which will run from Dec. 27 and 28.<\/p>\n<p>The list include siblings Grace and Andrew Kimball, Emma and Abigail Martinsen, Blair Nicholls, Michael Moran, Lester Lapuz, and Victoria Chentsova.<\/p>\n<p>Blasberg said he and co-coach Mike Villagomez are sorting out the events that SSC swimmers will be joining in, but the club and its swimmers are upbeat about the meet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe swimmers are very anxious for the Guam meet. This will be their biggest meet so far this season and they&#8217;re excited to see how much their times have improved with the months of training,\u201d Blasberg said in an email to Saipan Tribune.<\/p>\n<p>SSC swimmers are coming off personal best performances during last month\u2019s All Schools swim meet.<\/p>\n<p>After the meet early November, SSC swimmers continued their regular practice at the Kan Pacific Swimming Pool in Marpi to prepare for the Guam tournament.<\/p>\n<p>SSC bets train every day with weekdays practices running from 4pm to 6pm.
