DFS Galleria Saipan recently named its 2008 Employees of the Year for sales and support. <\/p>\n
Tomoko Esteves was chosen as the employee of the year for sales while Rodrigo San Pedro was chosen as employee of the year for support services.<\/p>\n
Wolf Mojica, sales assistant general manager, said the names of the two awardees this year was announced during DFS\u2019 celebration of Christmas Around the World at a party co-sponsored by Hard Rock Caf\u00e9 on Friday night, Dec. 19.<\/p>\n
Mojica said there were a total of 250 employees and guests who attended the Christmas party.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey all enjoyed the sumptuous buffet, music, dancing, and skits put on by several of our talented employees,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
The employees also organized several contests to make the night a special one.<\/p>\n
The best in costume was awarded to individuals and couples.<\/p>\n
\u201cIsrael, China, Japan, the United States, and Heaven were all represented on the stage. There were also many raffle prizes donated by various local businesses given to more than half of the attendees,\u201d Mojica said. <\/p>\n
However, DFS scaled back its annual Christmas party this year due to the economic downtrend. Instead, half of the budget was donated to two local charities: the CHC Volunteers Association and Maturana House of Prayer.<\/p>\n
