{"id":152512,"date":"2011-06-06T19:14:00","date_gmt":"2011-06-06T19:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bc586670-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2011-06-06T19:14:00","modified_gmt":"2011-06-06T19:14:00","slug":"bc586681-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/bc586681-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Arts festival\u2019s promo ads feature work of local artists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture and the Flame Tree Arts Festival Committee are featuring the artwork of local artists in the promotional materials for the 30th Annual Flame Tree Arts Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Posters and flyers for this year\u2019s festival feature Leslie Ware\u2019s photograph dubbed \u201cThe Red Carpet\u201d as the main background and another photograph from Lorraine Liwiski.<\/p>\n<p>Ware\u2019s snapshot\u2014flame trees and fallen flame tree leaves\u2014was the same winning entry in the 2009 Channel 2 Flame Tree Photograph Contest.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ware, he was at the \u201cright place at the right time\u201d when he took the photograph at the Last Command Post in Marpi near the Japan Peace Memorial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI happened to be there one early morning after a night of rain showers.
