Inos signed into local law on Wednesday a measure appropriating $8,000 for Tinian\u2019s medical referral patients, and for the subsistence allowance of other patients from the island.<\/p>\n<p>The $8,000 comes from poker and pachinko license fees collected.<\/p>\n<p>Half of this money will go toward medical referral patients.The other $4,000 will be for the monthly subsistence allowance of patients on dialysis and those with cancer and other debilitating diseases.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Trenton Conner (R-Tinian), author of the local bill, said in a phone interview that he\u2019s thankful for the acting governor\u2019s prompt action on the measure and for \u201cunderstanding the needs of the indigent medical referral patients.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Acting governor Eloy S.
