The St. Michael\u2019s Angels let their bats do the talking in Game 2 of the Saipan Major League championship series after beating Tan Holdings Brewers, 13-4, Wednesday night at the Francisco \u201cTan Ko\u201d Palacios Ballfield.<\/p>\n
The statement win evened up the best-of-five finals series at 1-1. The series continues with Game 3 tonight beginning 6:30pm at Tan Ko Field.<\/p>\n
Angels took an early 2-0 lead in the opening frame off two hits and a pair of errors. Brewers went 1-2-3 in the bottom half.<\/p>\n
The Angels then shot ahead, 8-1, in the second inning off a couple of errors, RBI singles by Jesus Iguel and Dave Camacho, and a two-RBI base smash by Benwachi Taisacan.<\/p>\n
Brewers managed only one run in the bottom frame from a sacrifice fly by Asap Wabol.<\/p>\n
Brewers held the Angles in the third and were awarded another run in the bottom frame off a balk, but left the bases loaded.<\/p>\n
Angels got the run back in the top of the fourth off an RBI base rip by Pete Tomokane and stuffed the Brewers 1-2-3 in the bottom frame.<\/p>\n
Angels then pulled ahead, 11-2, in the fifth off errors and another RBI single by Iguel; Brewers stranded a man at second in the bottom frame.<\/p>\n
Angels pressed on in the sixth and added two more runs off four hits; Pat Alepuyo busted a two-RBI single.<\/p>\n
Brewers managed a run in the bottom half as Mike Pangelinan led off with a triple and was driven home by Vince Cepeda. <\/p>\n
The Angels sat on their lead from there and contained the Brewers to just one run in their final stand.<\/p>\n
Winning pitcher Thomas Joab went the distance and gave up just two earned runs off five hits and three walks with three strikeouts.<\/p>\n
Angles\u2019 Iguel batted 3-for-6 with two RBIs, three runs, and three stolen bases.<\/p>\n
