The newly painted aircraft featuring the distinctive globe logo and blue and white livery started flying from Guam this week. <\/p>\n<p>This aircraft has 14 business and 141 economy class seats and features the new livery that combines the company\u2019s brand name in capital letters\u2014UNITED\u2014in a custom sans-serif font, joined with the global mark of blue-gold-white globe image on the tail, which has been Continental\u2019s brand image since 1991.<\/p>\n<p>Barry Bergmann, United\u2019s Managing Director of Micronesia and South East Asia said, \u201cWe are thrilled to launch the first Guam-based aircraft with the new livery for our Guam and Micronesia customers. This is just one example of the new United\u2019s successful merger integration process in the region. We know our loyal customers will be as excited as we are to offer more flight options not only to the U.S. and Hawaii, but Asia and Latin America on United\u2019s worldwide network.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both airlines have powerful brand recognition and the new visual branding builds upon the significant value of each airline\u2019s strong historical image, while advancing the combined airline\u2019s future new look. To date, more than 520 United\/Continental aircraft have been repainted. All Guam based Boeing 737 series aircraft will be outfitted with the new livery by 2012.
