{"id":153087,"date":"2011-06-27T22:14:00","date_gmt":"2011-06-27T22:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bc9536fa-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2011-06-27T22:14:00","modified_gmt":"2011-06-27T22:14:00","slug":"bc95370b-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/bc95370b-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Another lawyer is leaving OAG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Assistant attorney general Meaghan Hassel-Shearer is leaving the Office of the Attorney General, where she has been working for four years now at the Civil Division.<\/p>\n<p>Hassel-Shearer confirmed yesterday that her last day of employment with the OAG is the end of July.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s [a] family reason, a personal reason,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Hassel-Shearer said she will  be moving to Washington, D.C. not to pursue her law practice but \u201cto take care of  family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve enjoyed my time with the AG\u2019s Office immeasurably,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Hassel-Shearer has been the legal counsel of the Election Commission for four years now. She also represented the Department of Public Safety and many other government agencies in several lawsuits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve enjoyed working here and obviously I\u2019m going to miss my friends and co-workers,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Hassel-Shearer will be the 12th assistant attorney general to leave the OAG during Edward T.
