{"id":153141,"date":"2011-06-29T20:51:00","date_gmt":"2011-06-29T20:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bca120d6-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2011-06-29T20:51:00","modified_gmt":"2011-06-29T20:51:00","slug":"bca120e7-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/bca120e7-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Damaged signpost outrages Dandan watchers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dandan Neighborhood Watch block captain Frank Camacho expressed \u201cdisappointment and outrage\u201d upon discovering that one of their small signposts had been damaged.<\/p>\n<p>The signpost, which was erected in September 2010, now sports a big hole, like \u201csomebody deliberately did that,\u201d said Camacho.<\/p>\n<p>Camacho said they have three small signposts at each of the entry points to Dandan that cost them about $700. <\/p>\n<p>He said there are two bigger signages that are placed conspicuously in the village to encourage better participation in the Village Neighborhood Watch Task Force.<\/p>\n<p>Camacho disclosed that they discovered the damage on the signpost about two to three weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe team that\u2019s been cleaning around our village is disappointed that somebody did something like that. I\u2019m actually more outraged than disappointed,\u201d he told Saipan Tribune. <\/p>\n<p>Camacho said that someone used a heavy object, most likely made of metal, to create the big hole on the signpost.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho would do such a thing and what can they get from doing it?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n<p>Camacho believes that people who would do that are not educated enough and do not realize that they are creating a problem instead of helping the task force.<\/p>\n<p>He said he did not report the incident but hopes that they would catch the perpetrator in the act.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe task force is created for residents to be watchful of wrong things being done in the village but we can\u2019t monitor it all the time.
