The nightcap between Motombo Bud Brothers (1-3) and Life Force (0-3) was suspended at halftime on account of rain with the former on top, 49-43.

Fong’s Bakery got off to a quick start thanks to two 3-pointers that gave it an early 18-16 margin over Sherwin Williams at the end of the first quarter.

The latter, however, kept pace in the second quarter and knotted the game at 33-all at halftime.

Seven Sherwin Williams players chipped in on the action, while Jayde Duhon led Fong’s Bakery with 10 points.

Sherwin Williams bit down on defense and limited Fong’s Bakery to just a baker’s dozen in the third quarter, allowing it to jump in front, 54-46. Joe Ada came off the bench scoring 10 points in the period to spearhead Sherwin Williams’ run.

Fong’s Bakery charged back at crunch time and dropped three from downtown, but Sherwin Williams held strong for the win. Ada scored eight points in the final period, including a pair of free throws that closed the game.

Ada and teammate Jun Tabora combined for 46 points, while Fong’s Bakery’s Jomer Diyco finished with a team-high 17.

The loss was Fong’s Bakery’s first in three games.

Aside from the Bud Brothers-Life Force match, the late-game pairing between Marianas Water (1-3) and Lyn’s BBQ (1-3) Thursday night was also called off and will be rescheduled at a later date.

Wednesday’s game between Star Water (2-2) and MBI (2-2) was also put on hold due to rain after a half of play.
