Four congregates at the Aging Center volunteered to form part of a committee that will work on the man\u2019amko\u2019s digital yearbook project.<\/p>\n
Walter Manglona, program coordinator at the Aging Office, said that the committee is composed of four volunteers who want to share ideas on how to go about the project.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was just gathering information and when I called people in, there was just a few man\u2019amko that showed up,\u201d Manglona disclosed.<\/p>\n
According to Manglona, the committee members do not want to make the project to be \u201ctoo boring.\u201d Instead, they want to turn it into a kind of entertainment show \u201cwhere it showcases their talents and what they do\u201d and captures their personality at the same time.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey want to make it more a humorous\/educational type of program to go around the whole yearbook idea,\u201d Manglona told Saipan Tribune.<\/p>\n
Manglona noted that the four-volunteer member committee is still \u201cunofficial\u201d as he is yet to meet with the newly elected members of the Saipan Seniors Advisory Council who can assign a subcommittee to handle the project.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s so much going on. There\u2019s a lot of ideas. This new council right now is very eager to get started,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said their target release for the digital yearbook is by December since the man\u2019amko don\u2019t want to rush a \u201cgreat\u201d project.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to plan it ahead where we not only give it for the man\u2019amko but also for the community. That way, maybe they can do some kind of fundraising with the project,\u201d said Manglona.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
