{"id":155544,"date":"2011-10-03T20:01:00","date_gmt":"2011-10-03T20:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bd70b1cb-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2011-10-03T20:01:00","modified_gmt":"2011-10-03T20:01:00","slug":"bd70b1dc-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/bd70b1dc-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"OPA: CNMI single audit for FY 2011 now being readied"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Public auditor Michael Pai said the Office of the Public Auditor has arranged with the firm Deloitte to conduct the year-end audit procedures for the single audit of the CNMI for fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>In a Sept. 29 memo to government branches, agencies, departments and activity heads, public corporations and autonomous agencies, Pai requested full cooperation with the Deloitte audit staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTimely completion of the CNMI\u2019s single audit helps the CNMI in obtaining federal funding,\u201d the public auditor said.<\/p>\n<p>The CNMI\u2019s single audit also incorporates the various agencies\u2019 respective single audits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is therefore imperative that the agencies\u2019 single audits be completed in time for Deloitte to incorporate them in the overall audit of the CNMI.
