The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will host its 4th Annual SCC Holiday Golf Tournament on Dec. 17, 2011 at Suwaso Corp.\u2019s Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort at Koblerville.<\/p>\n
The SCC Holiday Tournament is an annual fundraising event for the Chamber\u2019s Educational Committee and its education\/scholarship awards.<\/p>\n
Originally scheduled in October, SCC decided to move its tournament closer to Christmas to afford golfers\u2019 wives the opportunity to allow their husbands to participate by way of Christmas presents. Golfing husbands, of course, would then be able to reward their wives with any of a number of expensive, gorgeous and luxurious items made available at the raffling event at the SCC Awards Banquet following the golf tournament.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s SCC Holiday Tournament is a two-man best ball scramble event with Men\u2019s Low Gross, Men\u2019s Low Net (Double Peoria), and Women\u2019s Low Net (Double Peoria) categories. The Dec. 17 COP tournament\u2019s entry fee is $95 per player. Tournament day registration is $105 per player. Registration fees include greens fees, prizes, and the awards banquet. Show time is 6am and tee off is scheduled for 7am. <\/p>\n
An excellent and lengthy list of awards and raffle prizes are being offered for participants and wives.<\/p>\n
Hole-in-one prizes are offered by Bank of Hawaii ($25,000), Triple J Motors (Hyundia Accent), Century Insurance\/AON ($5,000), and Takagi and Associates Insurance ($5,000). Closest to the pin awards include roundtrip tickets to the U.S. mainland and Japan contributed by Delta Air Lines. There will be long drive contesting, as well. <\/p>\n
Each category of competition will be awarded $600, $300, and $200 for first, second, and third place finishers.<\/p>\n
SCC president Douglas Brennan thanked the many SCC members that are contributing to making this year\u2019s SCC Holiday Tournament a success, and wished all golfers the best of luck. <\/p>\n
