The 2012 Marianas March Against Cancer Committee will hold its first team captains\u2019 meeting today, Dec. 8, 2011, at the Hyatt Regency Saipan\u2019s Chamolinian Room. The meeting will begin promptly at 10am.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter\u00a0receiving community feedback, the 2012 MMAC committee\u00a0has decided that getting\u00a0an early start is needed in order to ensure all teams get ample time to prepare for this great event. We\u2019re inviting all 2011 MMAC teams to attend as well as any potential teams interested in participating in MMAC 2012,\u201d said 2012 MMAC overall committee chair Catherine Attao-Toves.<\/p>\n
Items to be discussed include the financial report from the Commonwealth Cancer Association\u00a0and proposed changes for MMAC 2012. The CCA will be presenting a\u00a0report detailing how all funds raised at the MMAC are used for cancer patient assistance and other cancer-related services.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will discuss some\u00a0important changes for the 2012 MMAC so the participation of all teams is extremely appreciated. Teams will also get a chance to review how all funds they help raise are being spent. With the holiday season in full swing, we hope all interested members of the community find the time to attend this important meeting in support of the battle against cancer,\u201d said Attao-Toves.<\/p>\n
