An intoxicated man allegedly choked his wife in front of their 5-year-old daughter at their residence in Susupe over the weekend.<\/p>\n
Abelardo Miranda Magno, 33, was arrested for assault and battery, and disturbing the peace. He was taken to the Superior Court for bail hearing on Monday afternoon. A $1,250 cash bail was initially imposed for his temporary liberty.<\/p>\n
Police reports state that a police officer responded to Susupe on Saturday at 5:32pm after receiving a call about a domestic violence incident. The victim told the officer that Magno pushed her head and choked her in front of their daughter.<\/p>\n
At the time, the girl was crying and allegedly told the officer that her father pushed and choked her mother.<\/p>\n
The wife managed to get away and run to the neighbors to call for police\u2019s help.<\/p>\n
