{"id":157242,"date":"2011-12-08T18:50:00","date_gmt":"2011-12-08T18:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bdb2ee62-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2011-12-08T18:50:00","modified_gmt":"2011-12-08T18:50:00","slug":"bdb2ee73-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/bdb2ee73-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Swan Lake Ballet this weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Glushko\u2019s Academy of Performing Arts is set to make the holidays more impressive with the staging of Swan Lake Ballet &#038; Concert of the Ballet Stars 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The show, which features ballet dancers from Saratov State Ballet Theater in Russia, Seoul Universal Ballet Academy in Korea, and Glusko\u2019s Academy dancers, is scheduled tonight and tomorrow night at the American Memorial Park Open Amphitheater at 7pm to 9pm.<\/p>\n<p>Lim Hye Kyung, Seoul Universal Ballet Academy director, said she and young ballet dancers Ahn Joo Won and Ki Su Ji arrived yesterday morning for the show. While this is the first time for the young ballet dancers to be on Saipan, this would be Lim\u2019s second time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel very relaxed. I remember the audience last year was very warm and happy,\u201d Lim said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Lim, it\u2019s always good to perform on Saipan and give good energy to the audience through their art. \u201cArt makes life beautiful. That\u2019s the purpose of art. This is also a good opportunity to educate our academy students,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Natalia Kolosova and Daniil Kurynov, meanwhile, will be representing the Saratov State Ballet Theater. \u201cIt\u2019s my first time and I love everything here,\u201d said Kolosova through Glushko\u2019s Academy\u2019s Anna Glushko.<\/p>\n<p>Kurynov, who will be performing on Saipan for the third time, said, \u201cWe will see the best tradition of classical ballet and Russian soul expressed in ballet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Glushko, for her part, said they have a \u201cstrong team\u201d for this year\u2019s production as they represent the best in their ballet companies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe show, it\u2019s never getting any easier and it\u2019s always full of challenges but we\u2019re excited,\u201d Glushko told Saipan Tribune.<\/p>\n<p>According to Glusko, they will also feature some 45 students of the Glushko\u2019s Academy, whom she described as \u201cgetting better and better each time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Glushko said ticket sales have been good so far and they are getting a lot of positive feedback from students, parents, sponsors and donors.<\/p>\n<p>She invited the community to buy tickets to watch the show, which cost only $15 for adults and $10 for children below 12 years old.
