Then in the first match, the Ol’Aces (3-2) trumped FGC, 90-81. Satbahi and FGC now have similar 3-4 records.

The Ol’Aces and FGC played in the first game of the night with the former taking a 21-16 lead after getting baskets from seven different players in the opening period. FGC then recovered after the sluggish start and shot in front at halftime, 45-28. Pagarao and Banjo Basila led the charge with 17 points, while Satbahi was limited to nine markers in second period,

FGC slowed its pace a little in the third quarter, but still maintained a solid 59-45 advantage, heading into crunch time. Errol Peredo drained a pair of three balls for 10 points in the fourth, but FGC held on. Bernardo finished with 22 points to lead all scorers, while Marlon De Dios and Peredo came out with 14 apiece for Satbahi.

In a make-up game, Satbahi picked up where it left off to beat Andhok’s.

Andhok’s held a 16-13 edge against Satbahi in their Dec. 2 game. Satbahi settled down in the second quarter and surged ahead at halftime, 33-26. Six different players cashed in for Satbahi during the rally and the group contained Andhok’s to 10 points in the second canto. Satbahi then pulled away in the third, 53-35, before rain caused the stoppage of play. Andhok’s needed the break after being stuffed again in the third with its nine markers.

The matched continued last Friday and Satbahi escaped with the win. Satbahi’s shooters struggled at the resumption of the game and were held to seven points, but they managed to weather the storm in the last 10 minutes.

Bernard Aquino and Perry Inos turned in 10 points apiece, while Andhok’s Dexter Tenorio led all scorers with 13.

First Game

Ol’Aces 90 – Pelisamen 34, T.
