The Department of Public Works’ Energy Division will be celebrating Energy Awareness Month this October with the distribution of Home Energy Savings Kits.<\/p>\n
The Energy Division staff will be on the following islands:<\/p>\n
* Oct. 19-20, 2011 (Wednesday and Thursday), at the Tinian Mayor’s Office, from 9am to 4pm.<\/p>\n
* Oct. 26-27, 2011 (Wednesday and Thursday), at the Rota Mayor’s Office, from 9am to 4pm.<\/p>\n
* Nov. 7-10, 2011 (Monday to Thursday), at the Honorable Pedro P. Tenorio Multi- Purpose Center, from 9am to 4pm.<\/p>\n
This promotion is available to all residential paying customers of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. Those would like to receive the free items must provide a copy of their most current CUC utility bill.<\/p>\n
The cornerstone of this campaign is to \u201cTurn Words into Action, Turn Action into Results.\u201d<\/p>\n
Thelma B. Inos, director of the Energy Division, encourages everyone to conserve energy, empower others to take action, and join together to save energy and money.<\/p>\n
This is made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, State Energy Program, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.<\/p>\n
