{"id":15790,"date":"2011-10-19T01:35:44","date_gmt":"2011-10-19T01:35:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=15790"},"modified":"2011-10-19T01:35:44","modified_gmt":"2011-10-19T01:35:44","slug":"nmc-turns-in-report-to-accjc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/nmc-turns-in-report-to-accjc\/","title":{"rendered":"NMC turns in report to ACCJC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>By Moneth Deposa<br \/>\nReporter<\/div>\n<p>The Northern Marianas College met the Oct. 15 deadline to submit a follow-up report on its accreditation required by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, according to a statement from the college yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>NMC said yesterday that the document presents evidence of its continuing efforts to comply with ACCJC eligibility requirements and that it met its standards.<\/p>\n<p>The report, NMC said, was developed with considerable input and participation by the college community. A visit commission team is expected to visit NMC later to validate the report.<\/p>\n<p>NMC declined to further comment on the report&#8217;s content because, as per commission policy on public disclosure, it \u201cmust maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality\u201d with ACCJC in the accreditation process.<\/p>\n<p>In the statement, it assured that the college will make the follow-up report and the visiting team report and related documents accessible on the NMC website once the commission indicates that it is appropriate to do so.<\/p>\n<p>NMC disclosed on July 1 the commission&#8217;s decision to lift the college&#8217;s show-cause status and place it under a less severe sanction of probation.
