Monday, Jan. 16, is the deadline to register for 19th Hole Bar\u2019s Islander Tag Team 8-Ball League.<\/p>\n
The event starts on Jan. 21 and runs through Feb. 12 at the bar\u2019s new location in Puerto Rico, north of Grand Market along Middle Road.<\/p>\n
The event is formatted as a best-of-three game series with two-person teams.<\/p>\n
Each player will compete in a singles match coupled with a doubles game.<\/p>\n
Two pairings will be played every Saturday and Sunday starting at 7:30pm.<\/p>\n
The tournament is not open to the advanced-level players in the Saipan Billiards Association\u2019s Agingan division.<\/p>\n
There is a $20 entrance fee per team and the deadline to register is Monday, Jan. 16.<\/p>\n
The event is open to the first eight teams that sign up.<\/p>\n
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three place finishers based on a predetermined point system.<\/p>\n
Formerly known as the USS Peleliu Club, the 19th Hole Bar relocated last fall. They offer darts, billiards, and music entertainment in a refreshing sports bar setting. The establishment recently received a special plaque of appreciation from the SBA at its 2011 Summer\/Fall Budweiser Open 8-Ball League awards banquet last Sunday.<\/p>\n
