Policare disclosed that they always try to “sell as many ducks” as they can, with this year’s goal set at 2,012.

“We have come close to each year so I hope this is the year everyone helps out just a little. You don’t have to buy five or 10 ducks to win. Like I always say, it just takes one,” said Policare.

Policare, who lost his mother to cancer in 2001, urged the community to support the PIC event and CCA, which “has many programs in place to support cancer awareness and prevention.”

“I am proud to be spearheading this event and am calling on each and every person who reads this to chip in just a little. I know times are tough but they pale in comparison to those suffering from cancer. The cost of a duck is just $5. If we all bind together, there is nothing we cannot accomplish,” added Policare.

For more information, call 234-7976 or call activitiesmanager@picsaipan.com.

Five teams have confirmed their participation in the Race Around the River, Pacific Islands Club’s corporate human duck race challenge that is part of the 2012 Duck Race for Cancer slated for Feb 11.

[4

post-158514","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news
["GET
