Romero.<\/p>\n<p>3S Saipan Security Service and Saipan City Taxi Association offered a $1,000 reward yesterday in hopes of helping solve the case of Romero, 37, whose body was found Tuesday at the abandoned La Fiesta Mall in San Roque.<\/p>\n<p>Rabby Syed, president of both 3S Saipan Security Service, a company that provides security services, and Saipan City Taxi Association, a corporation composed of some 18 taxi operators and drivers on island, said that the amount was collected from members and employees of their groups.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are saddened by what happened to Emie Romero and we hope that this amount would encourage anyone who has information about the case to come out and help in the investigation,\u201d he told Saipan Tribune. \u201cOur members and staff are also extending our condolences to the victim\u2019s family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Syed said it is imperative that justice is served for Romero who is described by her family and friends as a devoted mother, a generous sibling, a loving daughter, a dependable employee, and a sweet friend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to bring the individual or individuals responsible for Emie\u2019s death to justice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Syed, who is also the president of the United Workers Movement-NMI, said that Romero\u2019s case is an unfortunate incident just like the disappearance of the Luhk sisters last year. <\/p>\n<p>This latest incident, Syed said, has caused widespread panic and alarm in this \u201cbeautiful island.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are scared, they\u2019re in fear. It is very unhealthy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>With federal and local authorities working in the case, Syed is optimistic that the matter will be resolved soon.<\/p>\n<p>Syed urged the community to be vigilant and work together to bring peace and security to the islands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should all be careful and open our eyes to things happening around us to protect each other. That\u2019s how we can eliminate this kind of incident in our community,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Last Wednesday, Bridge Capital LLC and Pacific Amusement, Inc. each donated a $5,000 reward for any individual who can provide information to help Romero\u2019s case.
