Family members of murdered bartender Emerita \u201cEmie\u201d Relata Romero are urging authorities to arrest the killer before the victim\u2019s body is flown to the Philippines.<\/p>\n
The Department of Public Safety remained mum on the autopsy results as well as on any updates in the police\u2019s investigation.<\/p>\n
Police officer Jason Tarkong said that DPS Commissioner Ramon Mafnas has yet to give the go signal to release the autopsy results as well as other information.<\/p>\n
Guam chief medical examiner Aurelio A. Espinola conducted the autopsy Tuesday night until Wednesday midnight at the Commonwealth Health Center\u2019s morgue. The autopsy was intended to determine the victim\u2019s cause of death. <\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s siblings, Eduardo Relata and Estrellita \u201cLhet\u201d Relata, said yesterday they are requesting the FBI and DPS to speed up their investigation and arrest their sister\u2019s killer.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are hoping that an arrest will be made or the case is solved before we bring our sister to the Philippines,\u201d Eduardo Relata said.<\/p>\n
The Relatas are planning to bring Romero\u2019s remains to Bulacan, the Philippines, early next week.<\/p>\n
At the same time, the Relatas are appealing to people to stop spreading wrong information or rumors about the death of their sister because their family and relatives back in the Philippines are currently grieving and in pain.<\/p>\n
The Relatas have five other siblings in the Philippines. Romero\u2019s husband and two daughters\u201417 and 8 years old\u2014are in Bulacan, the Philippines.<\/p>\n
The Relatas will be joining Monday night\u2019s candlelight vigil, called \u201cTake Back the Night,\u201d to remember Romero and take a stand against violence on Saipan. The vigil is also a fundraiser for Romero\u2019s two children. <\/p>\n
The vigil, being organized by Romero\u2019s co-workers at Godfather\u2019s Bar, will be held at the tourist district in Garapan at 8pm to 9:30pm. Participants are asked to converge near Godfather\u2019s Bar at 8pm.<\/p>\n
Participants are encouraged to wear white shirts. Candles will be available at $5 each for donation to Romero\u2019s family and children.<\/p>\n
Romero was last seen alive on Sunday around 3am boarding a green or blue tinted car in the parking lot of Call-A-Ride Saipan in Garapan. FBI agents found her body at the abandoned La Fiesta Mall in San Roque Tuesday afternoon. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
