{"id":159150,"date":"2012-02-23T21:31:00","date_gmt":"2012-02-23T21:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/be3e85ab-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2012-02-23T21:31:00","modified_gmt":"2012-02-23T21:31:00","slug":"be3e85be-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/be3e85be-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"SSC Meek and Mighty swim Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Saipan Swim Club will be holding the 7th Annual Meek and Mighty Ocean Swim this Saturday in the waters off the Pacific Islands Club in San Antonio.<\/p>\n<p>Athletes preparing for XTERRA and Tagaman triathlon races are invited to join the weekend event to warm up for next month\u2019s competitions.<\/p>\n<p>The Meek race will feature a one-kilometer course, while the Mighty event will have the longest distance at 5K. There is also a Tweeny race, which will cover a distance of 3K.<\/p>\n<p>Entrance fee is only $10 and all participants will receive swim caps, raffle tickets, and PIC water park pass. Registration starts at 7am, while the race begins at 8am.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Kimball topped last year\u2019s Mighty race, clocking in at 1:17:11 and defeating Victoria Chentsova (1:19:55), sister Grace (1:22:56), Carol Lynn Pierce (1:30:31), and Gary Guzman. In the 3K event,  Kento Akimaru (46:13) downed Mieko Carey (46:43), while Kindel ruled the shortest race with a time of 18:50.
