For the last nine years, Lizama has been a board member, providing assistance to the NMI Chapter in his field of expertise. \u201cAt first I did not know what Red Cross did\u2026until I became a volunteer,\u201d Lizama said. He enjoys the work he does for ARC, especially during operations like natural disasters or fundraising events, he added. \u201cBeing a volunteer means being committed to helping the community,\u201d Lizama said. During his time with the Red Cross, Lizama has co-chaired several successful fundraising events.
