{"id":160117,"date":"2012-04-01T21:31:00","date_gmt":"2012-04-01T21:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bf527a46-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2012-04-01T21:31:00","modified_gmt":"2012-04-01T21:31:00","slug":"bf527a57-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/bf527a57-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"XTERRA winners, Settsu players top list"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Winners in the 2012 XTERRA Saipan Championship and the 4th Annual Settsu-Saipan Friendship Basketball Tournament were among last week\u2019s top performers.<\/p>\n<p>Switzerland\u2019s Renata Bucher and Australia\u2019s Ben Allen took the women\u2019s and men\u2019s pro crowns in XTERRA Saipan, while Saipan\u2019s Lewie Tenorio, Brian Morris, Dawn Hammermeister, Eileen Escudero, Kaisei Toda,  and Robyn Wondrasek ruled their respective age groups. In the relays, Saipan\u2019s Bob Ferrer, John Jenkins, and Kento Akimaru reigned supreme in XTERRA Sport, while Victoria Chentsova, Russ Quinn, and Yosh Gabaldon prevailed in the XTERRA Championship course.<\/p>\n<p>In the annual Settsu-Saipan caging at the Marianas High School Gymnasium, the MISO All-Stars claimed the boys\u2019 division crown after beating Kagman High School in the finals, 90-58, while the visiting Settsu cagebelles won over the MHS Lady Dolphins, 69-38.<\/p>\n<p>The boys champion team was composed of Tinian High School\u2019s Marc Babauta, Darius Pettis, and Develle Maui, Saipan Southern High School\u2019s Bryl Alegre, Jack Aranda, Jaymark DeGuzman, Christian Mizer, Nevin Salem, and Jimmy Tudela, and MHS\u2019 Ezra Caro, Erick Dela Rosa, and Ralph Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>Playing for the newly crowned Settsu team were Kyosuke Hidari, Yusuki Hirata, Akiro Miyaura, Reo Moriyama, Ken Saguchi, Yuji Tanaka, and Masaya Ueda.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, other competitions on Saipan continued last week.<\/p>\n<p>The Saipan Little League Baseball had its regular season games with McDonald\u2019s finally making it to the win column of the Majors division.
