While looking over Saipan and Guam on Google World I noticed a great difference between what I remember of those islands and what I now see. In 1945 I was on Saipan long enough to cover what I thought was much of it. Is there a Saipan historical society I could email seeking answers to questions about the island? I would like information about the large lake, a cave, and there seems to be some erosion on the Banzai Cliff side. Also I would like to know about the lush shrub growth still growing over much of Saipan. Guam seems to have been stripped of most vegetation I remember. It seems strange to look at present-day Saipan and Guam compared to what I think I remember from so long ago. I am finding the mind to be a poor place to store information. Thanks for any help you can give me.<\/p>\n
