Man Amigos started slow but got it done in the clutch to overcome the Warriors, 15-12, in Monday\u2019s Chamolinian Softball Association 2012 Budweiser Slow-Pitch Softball League men\u2019s division matchup held at the Capitol Hill Ballfield.<\/p>\n
With the win Man Amigos kept its undefeated streak at 5-0, while the Warriors absorbed its fourth loss in five games.<\/p>\n
In last Wednesday\u2019s men\u2019s pairings, Ur Balls (4-1) defeated Manelos (3-2), 18-9; Saipal (3-4) downed the G-Ballers (2-4), 19-8; and co-division leader Natibu (6-0) crushed Berdax (3-3), 19-2. <\/p>\n
Gagu Eyez (4-2), Elias (3-1), X-clusisve (3-3), 6 Pack (2-2), Familia (2-4), Talu Fahn (1-6), and Managaha (0-5) make up the rest of the men\u2019s field.<\/p>\n
[B]Man Amigos 15, Warriors 12 [\/B]<\/p>\n
Man Amigos laid down an 11-run jumpstart in the bottom of the first inning, but the Warriors came with paint on their faces and grinded out a valiant comeback attempt in the next three innings.<\/p>\n
The Warriors cracked out seven hits for five runs in the second inning.<\/p>\n
Man Amigos were then gifted a run in return in the bottom frame off an error and both teams came up empty in the third inning.<\/p>\n
The Warriors briefly tied the game at 12-all in with seven runs in the top of the fourth off six hits. MacGary Scaliem Jr and Josh Garde recorded RBI base hits and Ton Pangelinan launched a two-run homer. <\/p>\n
However, Man Amigos\u2019 top of the order came through in the clutch for three runs off a go-ahead RBI base rip by Roy Celis and a two-run long ball by Jerry Ayuyu. <\/p>\n
Man Amigos tapped Vinnie Sablan to the mound in relief for at the start of the fifth inning and he did a good job helping the group pull it together out on the field in the last two innings. <\/p>\n
Eleven of Man Amigos\u2019 19 hits came in the first inning surge.<\/p>\n
[B]Ur Balls 18, Manelos 8[\/B]<\/p>\n
Manelos\u2019 Jun Camacho and Derek Abraham answered a three-run home run by Ur Balls\u2019 Audie Maratta in the top of the second inning with a pair of long balls, but Ur Balls countered with three more runs in the bottom frame. Maratita and Eugene Arriola bagged RBI singles and the other run came off an error.<\/p>\n
The count shifted to 10-4 in the third inning as Ur Balls brought four runs to the plate off a sacrifice fly and a three-run blast by Kyle Kaipat.<\/p>\n
Ur Balls\u2019 Arriola and Marvin Kapat lifted solo shots to maintain the six-run margin in the fourth inning as the crew extended its lead to eight runs, 16-8, off five more hits in the fifth to secure the victory; Manelos\u2019 went 1-2-3 in the finals stand.<\/p>\n
Ur Balls\u2019 Oliver Secharmidal batted 4-for-4 with four runs and an RBI. <\/p>\n
[B]Saipal 19, G-Ballers 8[\/B]<\/p>\n
LuisNgiraikelau jacked a three-run homer in the top of the second inning to put Saipal in front, 3-2, and added three more runs in the third with a pair of lift offs by Eli Illo (two runs) and Jordan Hayes.<\/p>\n
However, G-Ballers pulled within a run, 5-6, in the bottom frame with a three-run homer by Jun Salas in the bottom frame.<\/p>\n
Saipal doubled them up in the fourth innings with four runs off four hits and then trotted away, 17-5, in the top of the fifth off another seven hits. <\/p>\n
G-Ballers mustered only three runs in to close the fifth before puttering out. Saipal\u2019s Hayes left the yard for a two-run cherry in the top of the sixth inning.<\/p>\n
Saipal\u2019s Hayes, Efraim, and Greg Iskawa all batted 4-for-4.<\/p>\n
[B]Natibu 17, Berdax 2[\/B]<\/p>\n
Berdax\u2019s first two batters reached and scored to start the game, but Natibu was quick to break up the party and shut them down for the remainder of the contest.<\/p>\n
At the plate in the bottom half of the first, Natibu\u2019s cleanup man Jerome Delos Santos powered a shot over the fence for three runs and his teammate B.J. Sablan curtain called it with another three-run homer to start the second inning; three other runs came home in the second off errors and a sacrifice fly by J.R. Suel.<\/p>\n
Natibu then trudged ahead, 13-2, in the third inning off a Delos Santos solo shot, a sacrifice fly from Victor Salas, and RBI singles by B.J. Sablan and Eric Kani.<\/p>\n
