The last medical mission conducted by the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ 4th Watch drew 84 individuals who availed of their free medical and other services at the Susupe basketball court last April 22.<\/p>\n
Church pastor Claire Javillonar noted that most of them were Susupe residents while others are from neighboring villages.<\/p>\n
Services provided at the event included blood sugar and blood pressure check-ups, eye screening, reflexology\/body massage, cleansing\/facial massage, haircut, and counseling.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom February to April 2012, we were able to serve more than 200 villagers already,\u201d Javillonar told Saipan Tribune. \u201cAnd more volunteers are coming to help.\u201d<\/p>\n
Last Sunday\u2019s volunteers were University of Loyola nurses Katrina Demapan and Mavic Guerrero; Marianas Eye Institute\u2019s Erlinda Muleta; Tropical Blend Salon & Spa\u2019s Rhea Cuzon; haircut provided by Malou Manglona and Sonora Cruz; massage by Lorna Alcala, Tonton Buenaflor, Edith Locsin, and Nancy Ong; facial cleansing\/massage by Annie Perez; tent provided by UR Tent; and refreshments and other assistance by church members.<\/p>\n
According to Javillonar, they spend about $250 to $300 for each of their village-to-village medical mission events.<\/p>\n
The group will host their next medical mission on May 27, Sunday, in As Lito and on June 23, Saturday on Rota.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
