{"id":161266,"date":"2012-05-15T21:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-05-15T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bf872a78-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2012-05-15T21:00:00","modified_gmt":"2012-05-15T21:00:00","slug":"bf872a8e-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/bf872a8e-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Shirley\u2019s takes part in Charter Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shirley\u2019s Coffee Shop once again served as one of the food vendors in Northern Marianas College\u2019s Charter Day celebrations last May 4.<\/p>\n<p>It was the sixth straight year that the local restaurant took part in the celebration of the college\u2019s founding and it was happy to announce that sales were up 20 percent during the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Among the food Shirley\u2019s Coffee Shop offered during the event were fried chicken, its famous fried rice, palabok, caldereta, siomai, barbecue, broccoli, dinuguan, menudo, grilled mahi, and beefsteak.<\/p>\n<p>Shirley\u2019s Coffee Shop participated in the Charter Day celebration not only to promote its business to the islands\u2019 lone community college but also to promote and support NMC.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1983, Shirley\u2019s Coffee Shop has been serving the best of Chamorro, Filipino, and American cuisines in generous servings on Saipan and in Guam.
