Alvarez was hit with a pellet on the stomach. The police report did not state if the pellet pierced the flesh and if he was treated for his injury.

Juan Seman Cabrera, 52, was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace. His bail was initially set at $10,000 cash. A bail hearing was set yesterday afternoon in the Superior Court.

Detective Raymond B. Borja stated in his report that Cabrera, accompanied by another man, had shown up at the employees’ barracks of Pacific Islands Club early Friday morning and then started shooting a BB gun into the barracks.

Police said the attack was prompted by an earlier altercation between Cabrera’s son, Nick, and somebody at the barracks. Nick had gone to the barracks and allegedly punched one James Klintz in the face. Klintz’s uncle pushed Nick out of the door and told him to go home.

Moments later, Nick returned with Cabrera and another man and the attack allegedly happened.

Borja said preliminary investigation showed that when the police officer arrived at the scene, he saw two men walking away from the back of the house.

The officer noticed one of the individuals was carrying a BB gun. As the officer yelled, the two took off. The officer chased them but lost sight of the two.

Later, the officer saw a man, identified as Cabrera, at the garage of one of the nearby homes wearing a dark colored shirt and a pair of yellow short pants.

The officer saw a black pair of jeans on the countertop next to Cabrera and a BB gun leaning against the counter. The pants were still wet and muddy.

[4

post-16280","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news
["GET
