The 3rd Annual Shirley’s Coffee Shop Invitational Basketball League will hold another organizational meeting on Monday, Sept. 5, 6:30pm at the Shirley’s Coffee Shop in Garapan.<\/p>\n
League coordinator Boy Lingcaso said all participating teams must send a representative to the meeting. The last day to turn in team rosters will also be during the meeting.<\/p>\n
Lingcaso said so far 14 teams have already confirmed their participation in the caging. The list includes inaugural champion Micronesian Brokers, Inc., Mobil, PSS\/McGraw-Hill, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Hanwa\/World Resort, Fiesta Resort & Spa, Pacific Trading, Wushin, Fresco, Grillin’, DFS, GPPC, Marianas Health Services, and host Shirley’s.<\/p>\n
Each team is allowed to recruit only five players outside their companies.<\/p>\n
Organizers are planning to hold games in the Shirley’s caging every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.<\/p>\n
Meetings and other details about the league will be announced later.<\/p>\n
Last year, 10 teams joined the second edition of the Shirley’s caging with Pacific Islands Club winning over Aqua Resort Club in the best-of-three title series. In 2009, MBI swept Advance in the best-of-three finals,<\/p>\n
