Popular Korean talk show \u201cDarling\u201d is delivering a \u201cdarling\u201d of a deal to the Northern Mariana Islands this week as 65 cast and crew members arrive to film in this beach resort destination.<\/p>\n
\u201cDarling\u201d features celebrity married couples and airs on SBS, one of Korea’s top three nationwide TV channels. The estimated ad exposure value of the shoot is $4.7 million US dollars. Korea is in one of the CNMI’s primary tourism markets.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is an excellent opportunity to promote the Northern Marianas as a romantic travel destination for couples and to enhance our image by linking with celebrity couples,\u201d said Marianas Visitors Authority marketing manager Bruce Bateman.<\/p>\n
The group arrived on Sept. 1 and filming will be held at Laolao Bay Golf Resort, Pacific Islands Club Saipan, award-winning Managaha island, and picturesque Banzai Cliff. The group departs on Sunday, Sept. 4.<\/p>\n
\u201cDarling\u201d has an 8.5 percent viewership rate and is especially popular among women ages 30 to 50.
