Do they need to be asked? Don’t they feel confident as to what we elected them to do?

Some leaders bemoan the cost of having the people vote-again. I personally support spending our money, be it $7,000 or $65,000, to ask the people. Our leaders, judging by their performance, or lack thereof, seem to be out of touch. While I am glad they have gotten rid of the panties, some lawmakers seem to think we want to just meekly keep rolling toward an economic train wreck. Choo-choo.

If they are so confident that they are right, then spending 60 Gs of our money would be a small investment to save our islands. C’mon, some of our leaders receive almost $60,000 a year extra of our money to spend without accountability. If you believe casinos will be our salvation, our damnation, or just business-as-usual, then you should take a stand, educate us transparently, debate it, cough up our dough and put it to the people. Please don’t give us any “we know what’s good for you” condescending platitudes. Your track record betrays you.

My advice to our fearless leaders on the mountain is this: Man-up (ladies too) and put our money where your mouth is. Time’s wasting, the panties are still hanging, and we’re rolling down the tracks.
