{"id":17409,"date":"2011-09-07T05:15:22","date_gmt":"2011-09-07T05:15:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=17409"},"modified":"2011-09-07T05:15:22","modified_gmt":"2011-09-07T05:15:22","slug":"woman-in-jobs-scam-case-pleads-guilty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/woman-in-jobs-scam-case-pleads-guilty\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman in jobs scam case pleads guilty"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>By Ferdie de la Torre<br \/>\nReporter<\/div>\n<p>A woman indicted on charges of luring Chinese nationals to the CNMI to work in non-existing jobs pleaded guilty in federal court yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Heqian Ma pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud in foreign labor contracting as part of a plea deal.<\/p>\n<p>She will be sentenced on Dec. 6.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Ramona Manglona allowed Ma to be released until then on a $5,000 unsecured bond.<\/p>\n<p>Under the plea deal, Ma will be sentenced to time served if she pays restitution before her sentencing date.<\/p>\n<p>Ma&#8217;s lawyer, Michael N.
