(Contributed Photo)\" width=\"100\" height=\"75\" border=\"0\" \/>\u00a0The weigh-in for Friday&#8217;s Rites of Passage 11: Onra will be held from 5pm to 7pm tomorrow night at World Resort Saipan&#8217;s Red Box.<\/p>\n<p>Trench Tech Purebred Promotions president Cuki Alvarez said the weigh-in will also serve as the deadline for fighters seeing action in ROP 11: Onra to sign their contracts.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Alvarez said the official rules meeting will also be conducted after tomorrow&#8217;s weigh-in.<\/p>\n<p>Competing fight teams along with ring girls-Sarah and Deryielle Sablan-will be on hand to meet and greet mixed martial arts fans and are also available for photo opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, tickets will be on sale during the weigh-in and will also be available on Friday when the doors of Saipan World Resort&#8217;s Royal Taga Ballroom open at 7pm.<\/p>\n<p>Competition starts at 8pm on Friday with a series of K-1 kickboxing bouts, a pair of boxing exhibitions, and an array of MMA matchups, including a highly anticipated featherweight title match between Trench Tech&#8217;s Shane \u201cPikaboo\u201d Alvarez (6-0) and Marianas Elite&#8217;s Derrick \u201cEl Peligro\u201d Rangamar (3-9).<\/p>\n<p>The Alvarez-Rangamar tiff will lead up to the triple-main event, featuring Saipan brawlers and a pair of challengers from the U.S. mainland.<\/p>\n<p>In K-1, Guam&#8217;s John Garcia, of Counter Shot, takes on Zalaka&#8217;s Jacob Ilo in a 125-lb match. Guam Muay Thai&#8217;s Justin \u201cDungka\u201d Dizon, meanwhile, challenges Zeng Zung&#8217;s Regino Mundo at 150 lbs, while Haga&#8217;s Jordan \u201cJungle Boy\u201d Ogo squares off against Counter Shot&#8217;s Jared Santos at 120 lbs.<\/p>\n<p>In boxing, a special female exhibition bout is set between Guam&#8217;s Gianna \u201cGiaBaby\u201d Sarusal of Dededo Boxing Club-Lights Out Gym and independent Tara \u201cThe Tarantula\u201d Namauleg at 150 lbs.<\/p>\n<p>Trench Tech&#8217;s Mark \u201cThe Dark\u201d Nuique is also set to dance with Zalaka&#8217;s Franklin Agulto at 155 lbs.<\/p>\n<p>The eight MMA matches include: Trench Tech&#8217;s Vince Masga vs. Irvin Saralu (155-160 lbs); Trench Tech&#8217;s Josh \u201cChaos\u201d Duenas vs. Counter Shot&#8217;s Kevin Miranda (135 lbs); Trench Tech&#8217;s Frank Muna vs. Pete Keju (160 lbs); Zalaka&#8217;s Joe \u201cDa Combo\u201d Duenas vs. Jason \u201cGround Maintenance\u201d Teregeyo (135 lbs); Trench Tech&#8217;s Walter Florencio vs. Leonard \u201cJC\u201d Cabrera (135 lbs); independents Brandon \u201cCommotion\u201d Camacho vs. Danny \u201cWarrior\u201d Santos (145 lbs); Trench Tech&#8217;s \u201cBadd\u201d Brad Palacios vs. Guam&#8217;s Mike \u201cThe Attack\u201d Limiac, of the Tsunami Gym, (140 lbs); and Trench Tech&#8217;s Ryan \u201cTrobz\u201d Ngirbabul vs. Derrick \u201cThe Headache\u201d San Nicolas (195 lbs).<\/p>\n<p>The triple-main event starts with Trench Tech&#8217;s Fasi \u201cQuick Draw\u201d Jesse (7-3) against USA&#8217;s Joseph \u201cJ.J.\u201d Ambrose (15-3), of the American Kickboxing Academy and Tiger Muay Thai, at 155 lbs.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Jesse is coming off a pair of wins since March of this year, while Ambrose is on a five-win streak since late November of 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Marianas Elite&#8217;s Maitai \u201cThe Charger\u201d Charley (3-7) then takes on USA&#8217;s Will \u201cThe Kill\u201d Chope (2-4), of Dragon Muay Thai, at 150 lbs, and the evening concludes with a super heavyweight brawl between Trench Tech&#8217;s Mylo \u201cAlabaMMA\u201d Lassiter (2-0) against Marianas Elite&#8217;s Myron \u201cThe Natural\u201d San Nicolas (5-2) at around 230 lbs.<\/p>\n<p>Charley and Chope are both trying to bounce back from recent losses.<\/p>\n<p>San Nicolas holds a size and experience advantage over Lassiter, but has not fought since 2009. However, the latter boasts a pair of swift first round victories<\/p>\n<p>The matchups for ROP 11: Onra are based on the latest tentative fight card, which is subject to changes upon fight night.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Walter J.
