{"id":174796,"date":"2013-12-29T22:43:00","date_gmt":"2013-12-29T22:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/c2870c5f-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"2013-12-29T22:43:00","modified_gmt":"2013-12-29T22:43:00","slug":"c2870c70-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/c2870c70-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"North\u2019s Best Burger a big hit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The North\u2019s Best Burger of Mariana Resort and Spa\u2019s 12th Night Restaurant has been selling like hotcakes lately.<\/p>\n<p>Executive chef William Retardo said they currently average 20-30 orders a day and his kitchen works overtime to accommodate the demand for the burger, which is the creation of 2013 Taste of Marianas Chef Competition winner Emmanuel Pancha.<\/p>\n<p>North\u2019s Best Burger is made from Certified Angus Beef, honey molasses glazed bacon, caramelized onion, grilled lettuce, roasted tomato with sea salt, saut\u00e9ed mushroom, and smoky tomato mayo. <\/p>\n<p>Retardo said their guests love the burger\u2019s savory, sweet, and smoky taste. <\/p>\n<p>North\u2019s Best Burger is only $12, inclusive of your choice of beverage and a side order of French fries.<\/p>\n<p>The 45-year-old Pancha, who has worked as a cook at the Marianas Resort for 18 years and was also the winner of the inaugural Top Chef Competition a year ago, said he and his fellow chef, Richard Miemban, concocted the recipe in a span of a few days and involved three sample burgers. <\/p>\n<p>The earthy\u2014because of the plentiful mushrooms\u2014North\u2019s Best Burger was the hand\u2019s down favorite of their sampling team, which included Retardo, and it was the entry they submitted to the 2013 Taste of Marianas Chef Competition.<\/p>\n<p>The North\u2019s Best Burger is available at 12th Night Restaurant of Mariana Resort.
