The general public is invited to welcome home the members of the Guam Army National Guard 1-294th Infantry Regiment, who are arriving on Saipan from Afghanistan deployment today, Jan. 9, 2014, at approximately 8:05am at the Saipan International Airport.<\/p>\n
In honor of their service, Gov. Eloy S. Inos will be on-site that day to welcome the 15 arriving soldiers at the Arrival Area of the Saipan International Airport, followed by a motorcade from the Saipan International Airport to the Airport Road\/Isa Drive Intersection. The general public is encouraged to participate in this event, and display flags and yellow ribbons to show their support for the arriving Guardsmen.<\/p>\n
The Commonwealth Ports Authority is encouraging community members not to leave their vehicles unattended while at the International Airport.<\/p>\n
